    Default Pleated filter cartridge

    Hi everyone,

are the pleated filters shorter than the standard bags that sit on top of a DC. The reason I ask is, I just scored a brand new 3x3 garden shed from the neighbour (been under his house for 2 years) and I would like to put it up at the back of the workshop, as a seperate DC/compressor shed.

The height of the shed (at the top of gable) is the same height as my DC, so if the pleated cartrages are shorter this shed goes up out the back. If they are the same height then a taller shed will be on order, and this one goes up as storage at the side of the workshop (cant have enough sheds)

    Cheers Scott

What total height are you looking at and what machine do you have?

They are roughly the same height but to get my 2HP dust collector with pleated cartridge into the garden shed, I had to fit the rotating handle so that it pointed downwards. There is hardly any clearance to the roof as I wheel it in but it does fit.

Thanks for the replies, was hoping they were a bit shorter.

If you only need a small increase in height, lay a concrete slab for the floor and run one or two courses of bricks around the edge, then erect the shed on top of the bricks. This will give a lift of 100 to 200 mm. You will need to find some other way to raise the door height though

This is also what I did for a shed I put up. a bit of mucking around but not only does it increase the height but it also prevents water seeping in under the shed walls.

Thanks for the replies, like the idea of a few rows of bricks. Could always make a new door, or lower the existing door with a head above it.
