Q re PVC elbows
doing some forward planning and hope someone would have 2 x 150 45* elbows I need to know the measurement from the flat face of one to the outer lip edge of the other...
I hope the drawing makes the muddy waters clearer
I am planning where my dusty will/should fit and building a frame for it.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Hi
Without going and measuring the sockets of DWV are around 80 mm while SW are on 60. The height from floor to top of bend DWV will be higher than SW.
Also will depend on the style of fitting you get, are you just getting 2 x 45 - female to female and connecting with a short piece of pipe or you using male to female thus not needing any pipe to join the two fittings. Mind you may not alter by much.
If I remember I will measure them tomorrow.

Unless you intend buying electrical conduit bends (ie EXXY) they will not look like you have drawn them.
The connection section is not not curved because the pipe is not curved, instead the connections sections are straight like this.

so you can't get a smooth 90 curve from 2 x 45º bends with either stormwater or DWV pipe.
Instead you send up with two distinct 45º bends separated by a straight section equal in length to the depth of two flanges.
Anyway they are not all the same as it depends how long the flange connections are.
DWV's usually have longer flanges than stormwater, so specifying a specific distance is not possible. You will need to go buy the ones yo intend to use and measure it,
But why use 2 x 45º bends if you don't have to?
They take up more space, and while they're more efficient than the tight radius of curvature Stormwater 90ºs like these

but worse than the Larger Radius (i e ~2R) DWV 90º bends.

thankyou all, I was trying for a gentle 90* to get dust etc into my dusty from pipework. This inlet has to be at the back close to the wall,
So can someone please tell me the measurement o(as described above) of a DWV 90*
where do you find the degree symbol on your keyboard.
another Q has anyone designed/used a floor vacuum,a as in when cleaning up shavings etc off the floor and using the dust extraction to do so.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Yes most folks think 2 x 45º bends are better than a 90º bend but that only applies to the storm water 1R 90º bend.
If you want a really gentle bend then using 6 x 15º bends will be the gentlest you can get using readily available PVC ducting.
However these are very expensive AND the resulting large/long curve takes up a lot of room.

That measurement is about 300 mm from what I remember.

The one on my link is just like a vacuum cleaner in that it is moved over the sawdust/fllor as opposed to sweeping the dust up to the the extraction point. Mine can of course be parked in a corner and it acts like the one in the video.

Hi Tonto,
45 Pipe.jpg this is just show Male to a Female Pipe 45.jpg Stand this up and the measurement is 360 mm from floor to top of pipe, I did not push fitting all the way in still had about 20mm left.
As Bobl was saying you don't get a good 90 degree bend as there is a flat section. The pipe above is DWV pipe.
