I’ve finally received the CV1800 and unboxed it today. Did some prep work and preliminary assembly. Hoping to get it mounted tomorrow. After that I’ll need to organise a sparky and get the ducting sorted. I’ll report on the auto blast gate soon as well.

Sea change - workshop installation
Well I’m making progress but much slower than anticipated. I’ve only been able to give a couple of days a fortnight to the project lately, although that will change.
This was going to be our retirement house in more than a decade with random weekend stays until then. We’ve both been offered new jobs making which means our sea change will happen in about three months. The life change is exciting, but moving will distract us in the short term.
Anyway, the photo shows some small forward steps!

Hi Bob,
What do you think of these types of fans?
https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/F050
According to their specs, it should clear around 48 changes per hour. Might be a tad noisy, but may not need to run as long? just curious as setting up a similar size workshop myself.
Thanks in advance.

No much - I think I suggested one of these in a post back a in a post in 2015 but once I heard one I no longer recommend them because of the noise.

I find it really hard to believe the flow specs on that fan. Propeller type fans are just not that efficient. If they used an industry standard flow test it could be over estimated by at least 50% and for prop fans maybe as much as 75%. I'd be going for a quieter impeller type fan such as those used by the Hydroponics people do a search for hydroponics fans on ebay. You can run those all day as they are much quieter.[/QUOTE]
I bought a 12" hydroponic on ebay. Just fired it up in the office, pleased to report that the noise is indeed low (spec says 60db) which will mean it stays on most of the time once installed. If specs are correct this should give me 15 room changes per hour. Not quite 20, but should do a reasonable job I hope.
