    Question Shop vac recommendations

I'm currently using an ancient 1300V Volta vacuum cleaner to attach to my router, ROS and SCMS. I have a 2hp dusty connected to jointer/thicknesser and bandsaw. I'm thinking of upgrading to a proper shop vac as I'm sure the Volta bags are not designed to contain much of the dust it collects. What shop vacs do you use and/or which one would you recommend?

I use the Festool CT22 w/HEPA filter. Very quiet and NO dust escapes.

Harry, I use the cheapest model from Bunnings ($89). It is similar to one in the picture. The only problem is they only last around 18 months. I am up to my third one in 5 years. When too much fine dust gets into the motor it just dies.

BUT I think I have found a solution for it. You know I recently got a dust cyclone. I think it will keep the motor clean for much longer. We will see.

Thanks for the feedback Just checked out Festool prices so might try Wongo's more wallet friendly solution.

There once was a video on these forums showing how to make one, but I can't find the videos any more. Maybe someone can help?
    Cheers,

    Bob

Jill, I bought it but I am planning to make a bigger one myself for my DC. Here is the thread you can read.
