Smoke gets in your eyes
This afternoon I was having bit of a tidy up in the shed and not really making any dust when the dust level as shown by the particle counter shot up over 200 ppb.
I looked outside and could see a very faint smoke haze and tried to capture it on camera but had to go out onto the street to do it.
Its routine burning off somewhere in the Perth Hill brought down to the city by some easterly winds.
The arrow shows Kings Park which is about 3km away in a straight line could be just seen as a faint smudge

At the time the above photo was taken the dust was 153 ppb - you'd never detect that level with eyes inside a shed as the optical path way is just not long enough
The 131.7 is the 2.5 microns and smaller dust, anything over 100ppb which is considered unhealthy for seniors and children and anyone with a breathing problem.

It also shows why background checks of dust levels outside a shed have to be made when measuring dust levels inside a shed..

I keep meaning to ask you about your dust measurement system, did you post a thread about it? I’m keen to build something similar, got a few spare Arduinos that need something to do.
