Hi guys, I've been lurking around for a while but I'm finally getting my shed organised to the point I can think about tools, and I decided dust extraction should be my first investment.

my plan is to buy a 2hp carbatec dc, one of their 1 micron pleated filters, buy a connector kit from them
for the hoses, elbows etc.
then build a housing around the whole thing with those sound proofing panels from bunnings, with a door on it to get in to empty the
bags etc. at the top of the housing i'll run a pipe to the roof and connect it to a bathroom extractor fan
to suck out the that escapes via the roof. the idea is that the fan continues to remove the fine dust for a while after the DC is off
I'm going to position the DC so it's against the wall in the middle of my shed, this way it shouldn't be more than 2m from any of my tools.

questions i have:
is my plan crazy and destined to fail?
carbatec seem to only sell 5 inch pipe work, when on here the wisdom seems to be 6 inch is best?
will the DC be in danger of over heating in the sealed housing?
do i need to extractor fan, or is the air pumping out of the DC enough to vent out the pipework on it's own?
