Completely ignored that bit about venting to ground...
Haven't seen the super dust deputy in action, but given that even a Clearview will shoot visible chips if it's not setup correctly whatever modifications you make, make sure you can undo.
As all the cyclones I've seen other than a Clearview running properly and the ones set up in industrial facilities. All throw large amounts of visible dust which imo needs to be collected and filtered. OTH if you live on an acerage and have no neighbours nearby and your house isn't close to the outlet then give it a whirl and let us know what you discover.
