Router Table: 1 x 4" underneath and 1 x 4" on the top/fence side.
4" jointer: I reckon you could get away with a 1 x 4"
table top thicknesser: 1 x 6": I've never done one but form what I have seen the complete dust post thingo needs to be rebuilt on these things.
Carbatec/generic table saw: 1 x 6" to the cabinet (cabinet port needs to be opened up as well) and 1 x 4" to the OH guard.
leadercraft combination sander: More details size needed
SWMBO : 3 x 6"
Symtec lathe.: 1x 6"

Another vote for Pipeco
I bought about 15 fittings, 150mm, y, elbows, caps etc..
Freight 80 to Melbourne, arrived in 3 large boxes.
Waaaayyyy cheaper than local.

Thanks. I guess something useful had to eventually come out of all that training the taxpayers paid for.

Well interesting times we live in
somewhere in one of these threads I mentioned about 150mm pipe prices. Yes I know we are at the end of the road, (and wouldnt swap it for all the skirts in Thailand but prices...
150mm DWV local $13?.oo Bunnings $67, but they dont and wont carry it here, no problems was in Adelaide got 5 x 3m lengths equivalent price.
then start trying to plan what I wanted for dust extraction, thinking was I could do this cheaply and crappily and upgrade as we go along, then dear beloved said 'why dont you buy whats going to be needed in long term'. after I got off the floor from shock and surprise I planned out hopefully a decent design (scared to show you wise birds) and placed order with Pipeson line. $500. something plus freight...Adelaide $239. to Lincoln $538.o $800 odd total : . stuff that, I can drive over & back for less than half.
But spoke to local freight outfit they quoted $180 plus $239 =$419 still a lot.
Phoned pipes online again and spoke to Dave... supply/ordering manager or something, he arranged Iplex (supplier) to freight direct to me for $239.
fantastic service.
If I take a 150mm Y junction from pipes add $4 freight (average for all pieces I bought) I am still less than half what I would pay locally.
This throws an interesting ball into the equation, support local industry and jobs or buy elsewhere and see local business fail...dont go there. happy chappy at present.
first finish off aquaponic/poly house rebuild
replace body panels on ute after kamikaze kangaroo decided he hated me
clean out garden shed so I can then empty out big shed so I can start putting machines & dust extraction pieces together.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Well crappy day for anything without air conditioning, so drew out what I am hoping to achieve.
this is a near new 5 section (we have first 2 bays) industrial shed on rural block. The landlord owner lives in other 3 bays. We have sealed and dust proofed the defining line but the middle bay is only their storage.
Owner is still deciding if he will allow me to buy extra sheet for our end and punch hole for dust extractor outside...undercover.
the plan is run 150mm pipe @ about 2.2m off ground, 2 metres from wall to 1st Y this goes to wife's symtec lathe,
mainline another 1100mm to next Y, this heads out to middle of shed for table saw, router table and floor sweep (she wants to carve ),
another metre on main line next Y down to Triton scroll saw,
then short 300mm 90 elbow then straight run 1800..Y drops down to flexi with jointer, belt sander, thicknesser (all on wheeled bases)
mainline continues 700 Y down to SCMS
then 1200 run to band saw and drill press.
2HP dusty outside over cover, nearest neighbours .5k away so not afraid of them plus our dog is bigger than theirs, we have promised the owners/landlords to not work when they are home unless they want to use machines. We have been friends with them many years and this arrangement has been long time in pipeline.
so whats your thoughts, suggestions, ideas, brainwaves, shootdowns please.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

My main concern is given you only have a 2HP the very long run around that corner is going to reduce the suction on the jointer, thicknesser, BSander, RAS and BSaw,
and it would work a lot better if you could break the long up into 2 or even three arms.
Assuming the air exit position to the outside is fixed, any chance you could rearrange the shed so the DC ends up being in the middle of the ducting ie in between the scroll saw and the thicknesser?
Eg could you move the vertical arm naked B in the picture to to A? This means the max distance the DC needs to suck for half the machines will be much shorter.

disregard the above drawing. Ah ha unexpected answers.Land lord just asked to use SCMS saw dust and conversation went well.
now allowed to pop hole in back wall, for dusty, build shelter frame around it.
so now plan goes like this...hopefully
The large storage is a family members furniture sh#t/stuff after breakdown. Oh the joys of being a parentI would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Large timber rack consists of 100x100 redgum and jarrah posts that fell off a truck 18 years ago, been in storage all that time. Plus a huge shed was dismantled here a few years ago and I snapped up 6m beams of Oregon. the smaller shelves is blackwood, jarrah, and other unknown timbers. The furniture place I worked in many years ago and removed 2 fingertips was deemed to expensive to bring back to safety conditions (he was also a dopey boss/owner) anyway he decided to declare bankruptcy and all staff were given 48 hours notice to remove and timber they wanted before the officials came in, this was in part lue of overtime and loosing of ones job etc. Very strange arriving at the factory 9pm with trailers and leaving 3 hours later with a very bare looking shed. power tools were (supposed) to be off limits.

I know this isn't what this thread is about... but one thing I'd consider would be swapping the locations of the RAS/SCMS and band-saw.
Just so's any overly long lengths can be poked out through the roller-doors when docking to more manageable lengths.
Unless you use the BS for ripping more often than you do any docking?

Good idea but if I have to dock any timber that length there is the jigsaw and portable circular saw. the SCMS sits nicely on a bench cupboard unit. The band saw has its own wheels so can be moved if needed.
You need to realise this is the first time Ive had a shed of my own and to set up my tools, feeling very chuffed and wanting to 'do it right first time and only time'I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

geez louise this is getting betterer and betterer running the trunk line (see Iam learning down there I miss the main roof girder but that could be overcome with high tensile wire or similar. the ceiling potch is 4.5m above ground. running said wire across shed at approx 2.5m should help.
thanks will sleep on that idea.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

now 2 other questions
where can one buy 6" flexi tube, I would presume Carbatec and most likely need to order knowing Adelaide
The 6" Ys that we order ...is there something like a true Y as in the letter shown not a straight piece with another coming off at an angle.
with the new design I will most likely have spare pipe & pieces, should I try & sell to Adelaide members...I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

the stiffer the flexi the lower the flow loss. The soft polyurethane hose that is translucent or the soft pvc from carbatech is more resistant Than the stiffer PVC stuff from Timbecon. Best of all l have measured was some very stiff heat resistant stuff.
