I considered it, but will keep that for the next one. I wanted to.
The original wheels had 30 spokes - 20 in the back row, running to the fat part of the hub, then 10 in the front row, running into the narrow part of the hub. That's too many to fit into wheels this size. My version, if I can manage it, will have 15 spokes - 10 rear and 5 front. The problem is that inner ends of the outer row of spokes will not have any depth due to the narrower outer hub section and the axle head recess. It's starting to push things too fine, trying to drill blind holes for spoke ends into 2.2mm of meat.
As mentioned, I'll revisit this on the next one. Don't want to push my luck too far at this stage.... Steve

Again, after 'Edit', 'Go Advanced' doesn't work, so I couldn't add the pic to my previous post.

This is what the 15-spoke version will look like. (Sort of.): -

Come on Steve,
Go the whole hog.
Find an old pushbike on side of road and cut the spokes to make yours.
You got to have that cross in the back to make it look right.
You can put the front ones back a little to give a bit more roon instead of going right to the outer hub.

I won't use metal spokes - this is all wood. If I wanted to use metal, I'd use a thin metal axle as well.
There simply isn't room to do crossed over spokes on a wheel this size.
Why don't you try as an experiment and see how you go?
I don't think it's physically possible with wooden spokes. I won't go thinner than 2mm, either. It needs some strength.... Steve

As I said, I personally want to use all timber, but I'll be most interested to see how you go with copper spokes all the same.
I think they'd need to be a hell of a lot thinner than 2mm for it to work, and three rows of holes in the hub. Maybe two staggered rows on the rim as well.
Really thin copper might be a bit weak. Maybe stainless?
It's easy to mentally picture a wheel with two rows of spokes, the rear ones crossed, etc, but actually making it work mechanically is another matter.... Steve

MIG welding wire would be thin enough... you'd have to paint it though.

I was thinking model-makers pins. A little thicker than dressmakers pins.: -
(For anyone interested in model-makers pins, they can be found here: Model makers T Pins 52mm/ 2 1/8" 57g PKT 60 (APPROX) )
(Mine are out in the shed and it's pouring rain, or I'd measure their diameter.)... Steve

Fantastic work on the bumper Steve. Much better than the plans version. And you will smile with pride everytime you look at the front of the Ford.

Thanks Bret.
The rear bumpers will be a bit trickier, especially mounting them solidly. I'll have to put my thinking cap on when I get to them.
There's also a small step on the RHS for easier entry to the dickie seat, so I might incorporate it as well, along with the rear-mounted spare.
Fun, fun, fun.... Steve

Forgot the pic and 'Go Advanced' still won't work for me. (Dunno why - the other buttons, 'Save' and 'Cancel' work fine.)

It may take some trial and error but I'm sure you will figure it out. And it will look awesome when done. By the way you either have insomnia or you are a true night owl.
