Default Building a 6x6 Power Wagon

Here's what I got done on the first day of the build.
Figuring out how to turn this 4 wheeler into a 6 wheeler.
The four wheels in the back are what I used on my Mack truck build, just wanted to show what was going on.
The black wheels show the travel it will have if the fenders let it go that far.
It will be 6 wheel drive with 5 drive shafts if every thing turns out alright.

First picture shows the back drive shaft passing over the differential and heading to the transfer case.
Both rear drive shafts go to the transfer case independently.
Second picture show the transfer case with the drive shaft to the trans and one to the front end.
I ran out of 1/4" oak dowel so will finish up the drive shafts monday.
Last pictures just showing the travel of the rear axles.

Great little jig for doing the cutouts in the hubs.
How is the jig for sanding the tyres advanced forward? Is it manually moved by hand or do you have some form of mechanism at the back to do that?
    Coming along very nicely.

GAWD! 1965, Dodge 6x6 Power Wagon. First gear, second gear and third was "down hill".
After a rain, we could wreck any dirt road you ever built.
But. The jobs got done on time.
Our tires looked just like what you are making!

Treecycle This is a ShopSmith and you can see the black handle that lets me move the disk sander to the wheels, it has a depth stop so I can set that but the table also has a micro stop I made from a router fence I found while scrounging for wood one day.
This lets me set the SS to one depth then fine tune it with the micro fence, so now I put a blank in the jig and pull the lever and can pull it to the wood as fast or slow as I need.
    Hope that helps.
And thanks all for checking out my progress.

    Check this out Power Wagon.
