This is going to be one very nice truck once complete you can see that by the time and attention to the work that you have put into it.

I get asked by many how do you make a model like this my answer is patience and take each section as it comes as well attention to marking out and cutting each part

Did more work on the dump box this weekend.
Got the side braces on,back pieces on,cut and mounted the top side rails, mounted the cab protector.
Messed around with the drive shafts too.
    Also made the tarp mounts.

Got a few more pieces done.
Made the endgate. the tarp rollers with arms and the pieces for the hydraulic cover.
The small tarp roller is really a pain to make. The plans call for a 1/8 dowel turned down to 1/16 on the end.
No luck doing that so i drilled a 3/32 hole in the end of a 1/8 dowel and put a short piece of 3/32 dowel int the end.

Certainly getting on with this build and all the parts soon add up. If you had not mentioned an error I doubt if anyone would have noticed unless they had built this model, And I still don't know what the error was.

That’s really small dowel at 1/8”.
For that small I use bamboo!

    A little more progress.
Got the lights on the box and end gate.
Glued the hydraulic cover in place.
Had problems with end gate hinges . No matter what way i ran the grain they broke.
Ended up ordering some 1/8 plywood to make them out of.

    Been busy with other things.
Got to work on these again today.
While they were stored away both dump doors warped bad.
Made new dump doors and made the fenders today.

Shame about the warping but like you if something is not right either through a mistake I made or as in your case the wood moving I will remake it.

At least you re now back on track
