Making a Hummer
Well the wheels are ready now for the frame work for the Hummer.
This is going to be one big vehicle but I always say that don’t I, but it’s TRUE!!! LOL
Here's the blog post for it.

Going to be doing the back end a little differently, I hope it works out.

It’s starting to look like something but I don’t know what.
I really need to be making the seats and gauges but just have to do some body work to see what it’s going to look like.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll get back to the program, ya right!
Don’t look like much but played around with the angles for the sides.
I don’t know why they don’t just tell you their 15 degrees[I don’t know how to make that circle thingy that says degrees] for the windshield and 7 degrees for the sides.
I've got to put the wheels on and give it a look see.
This thing stands almost as tall as my Toyota Prerunner. LOL

Figured I better get the insides done before I get the wild hair and close this thing up.
I’m finding that I have a bad habit of thinking about something that needs done then the next day going and forgetting about it and doing something that make it hard or near impossible to do it after the fact.
So get the inside done then on we go.

I worked on it today but it seems like I went back wards more than forwards today.

G'Day Bruce, You are certainly a top model maker/toymaker....
Thank you for all the extra time and effort to do the build notes & photos, much appreciated...
Could you please confirm the size of the Hummer along with the timbers you are using, thank you..
Cheers, Peter

Apart from putting the steering wheel on the wrong side, this looks like it is going to be a very well detailed build. The dashboard and seats have heaps of detail, and the wheels really look the part.
I have enjoyed looking at your previous posts, and am looking forward to following your progress on the Hummer.

Crowie the wood is oak and the size is really big!!!
You may have wondered why I showed that raised panel door in the wheel post well that's where this wood is coming from a bed I built back around 1990 but no longer need.
When I built my train I shrunk it by a third and the same with most of my projects but I have found that if you really want to add details the bigger the better, I would guess that's why Toys and Joys plans are so big.
The Hummer will be around 19" long.

Looking fantastic. How have you done the little circles on the dash? Are they done with a plug cutter or some other way?
Love the detail that's going in to it and good to see those top class wheels have found their home.
The degree symbol ° is created by holding down the Alt key and typing 248 on the numeric keypad. When you release the Alt key the degree symbol will be there (that's providing you are using a PC not Mac).Dallas

Treecycle I used the plug cutter as you can see the speedometer was done with one the rest were done with a hole puncher for leather, I put it in the drill and it makes a finer circle.
Hope that's helpful.
It's been 95° in my shop, It worked

Yep, 3:00 in the afternoon here and it's 54° F. As long as you keep moving in the shed it is okay.

You're really pushing ahead with this build. Great detail with the grill and the laminated seats.
Won't be long and you will be looking for your next project.Dallas
