Look forward to your model build. Also wanted to point out there are many toy/model building books you can get that have a wide range of models and toys to build from. Also there is Gatto plans. I built the Steam train from them.
1949 Reading Steam Freight Locomotive
Also built a Scania Truck from one of Richard Blizzards toy building books which have scale models in the back half of them.
1982 Scania Truck
If interested in any of the books give me a shout I can help you with selecting them. I have a couple dozen of them.

The plans and kit arrived today
The timber sizes are a bit different to what I thought so the teak I was going to use can wait for another project unless I can get some more in suitable size and reasonable match.
So its either Red Cedar ( yes a softwood ) or New Guinea Rosewood ? or I might JUST have enough silky oak here .
Thats for main body , the running boards timber can be picked after main body choice is made
I have a big job ( Dining room cabinet or buffet ) part done so the model is 2nd priority. ;to be done while glue is drying or otherwise held up on cabinet job

I will post a few pics of the current progressP5047254.jpg
This will be it for about a month as I have other things happening
as you can see I added a few things that were not on the plan
Bumper bars , door handles , windscreen , ect . still to go before finishing
What do you suggest for the finish ?
