Default Toys for Big Boys - hauling the cattle

I recently completed a Kenworth semi with a cattle trailer. Overall length is just over 1m. I started with some basic plans from Toys & Joys but made quite a few modifications.

This first picture shows a close up of some of the wheels. It is my first time to try the ebonising solution on the tires (thanks Hermit).

This shows 40 wheels, enough for two semis and a few extra (in case I messed some of them up , I know, it sounds impossible, but it has happened )

Next, some pictures of the Kenworth tractor.

A close up of the mud flaps. I had to make them with two layers in a bent lamination glue up to retain the curves.

A close up of the fifth wheel.

A close up of the rear view mirror.

And finally, the tractor and trailer together.

Sorry, but I don't have any WIP photos. I am just not very good at remembering to do that.

Any comments, both pro and con are welcome.

    Default model cattle truck

Looks great I admire the time and patience that must have gone into making it. Had you lived in Aus you would have had an extra axle on the trailer. We call them 22 wheelers.

    Brilliant looks top notch

ok 14 wheels maybe 16 if you had spares used. You could make it a B-double there's another 16 or a good old Aussie road train type with 4 trailers

The original plans called for just a plain panel for the back of the trailer, but I wanted to make it a little more realistic so I added the vertical ribs and the horizontal slats to simulate a door, but it does not open. I thought about making it into a tambour style (like a roll top desk), but I figured that I had already put a lot of extra detail into it already.
