Default Toys for Big Boys - moving the grain

Some of you may have seen my previous post (Toys for Big Boys - hauling the cattle), Well this time the trailer is a grain trailer.

    First, an overall picture:

    Grain 1 - small.jpg

Next, a side view showing the hoppers:

    Grain 4 - small.jpg

Next, a rear view showing the ladder and the crank for the roll up canvas

    Grain 2 - small.jpg

On a real trailer, the top is a canvas that rolls open to load the grain, but on my model, I made the top from walnut and it pivots to open to see the inside.

    Grain 9 - small.jpg Grain 8 - small.jpg

Now, a few photos showing both semis together:

As always, any comments, both pro and con are welcome.

Really great i especially like the wheels and the way you curved the top to look like a tarp.
Also liked all the little details like the door opener and the ladder and tarp closing bar.

    Default Moving the Grain

The Dodge City Kid strike's again,
    Mate, exceptionally well done.
It is a fine example of trucking woodwork.

Very well done again "Big D"....you do do fine model work, beaut detail.
I'd love to see a WIP series done by yourself one day.

Another great model like all the detail. Look forward to any more that you are going to build.
