    Default Casting resin

Opened a new tin of Diggers clear casting resin only to find that it has gone yellow. Haven't had this problem before. Also, does the catalyst have a shelf life.
    appreciate your feedback.

Not sure about the catalyst, I've used some pretty old stuff, but the tin of PR certainly does. I have seen old cans solid rubber and yellow, so perhaps the changing colour is the first step .

If yours is still a liquid I'd be using it ASAP. If it is a newly purchased can, take it back for a refund, I know Bunnies often used to have old stock on the shelf, I used to tell people to shake the can and if it didn't sound runny (i.e. thick) put it back.

Thanks Neil, I bought it from Bunnings and the first time I opened it was today. It was still liquid but as you say, may be old stock. I did have a tin some years ago that went solid due to lack of use. Will talk to Bunnings and see how I go.

I think all the cans I have had started out yellow - still cured clear though.
