Red mallee burl casting rings
A quick Sunday morning trip to the workshop to finally use one of Dai Sensei's burl castings. A few rings for the wife and daughter, although I got a bit crazy with the internal sanding and now they don't fit. I guess I'll have to wait for the daughters fingers to grow into hers.
a big thank you to Neil for his flawless casting.

Sanded to 1200, haphazardly I might add, skipping a grade or 2 here and there, then 2 thick coats of Gloopy thin CA (gloopy as starting to go off) then micromeshed to 12000.

Look good. You could always add a bit more CA to inside to reduce size
