I've had many people ask me if they can modify the molds to pour one tube. They were
looking to make a silicone 'dam' between the cavities.
At first I wasn't sure why, since we're only talking about 25g of resin. But I can see where
it would add up if you're only doing one Sierra at a time, but doing a lot of them.
Now that I'm experimenting with double casting, I find I need to pour one tube fairly often.
So .. the first time I poured two tubes and I just saved the one I didn't use. When I need
to pour just one pen, I put this other half (already cured) back in the mold to take up the
space. Now I can pour one Sierra with under a half ounce of resin. Then the hardest
part is measuring that small an amount
So .. make one double and save half of it as a spacer. It should last forever.
