I have not completed my pen swap and am very embarressed at not having done so as I have been one of those people to bag people who have not followed through with the aggreement I have contacted my swapper (I have not recieved my pen either ang am not complaining as fair is fair)and appologised for not having done it but I have been so busy rebuilding the 043turning web site that crashed recently I just have not have time HOWEVER I promise that I will have it done by monday and get it in the post for him and I am hoping to make it worth the wait with some nice blanks to go with what I hope will be a nice pen.
I canot believe by luck as I did have a pen made and was heading to the shop for some blanks and dropped the bloody thing so now not only do I have to do another pen I have ??????? the one I had spent several hours doing.
So once again I really do appologise and promise to have the problem fixed over ther weekend
Cheers Ian

Pen Swap
I had three persons to swap with. All three pens (and surprises) were sent out. I have only received pens from two of my partners. I mailed all three on March 16th
Tried to contact the third.
Cheers

Although my swap partner, Lazylathe, and I have already swapped a pen and a box of blanks each, we are also doing a second run, because just before I started on his pen I trimmed the end off my finger on the jointer and couldnt complete his pen, so to get things rolling I sent him one that I had almost competed that was sitting on the bench.
Things have kept both of us busy and sidetracked for a while, but we have kept in contact.
Lazylathe has just finished his second pen a couple of days ago, and I have mine almost done, just needs the finish applied. Hopefully I will get that done tomorrow, and get the pen in the mail early next week.
So far I am happy with my second pen, it has a couple of firsts for me, which will be revealed after it has arrived at its new home in Canada.

yes I also have not yet finished my pens.
I also am slightly (read very) embarresd.
Cyclone come and went, clean up was done and now all I need to do is clean the shed to get to the lathe.
I make this promise to my swpee's.
By sat 16th pens will be in the post and on their way to their ne homes.

I have not received my pen from Todd yet but he did pm me a couple of weeks back explaining work and weather issues had delayed his progress. Todd has been involved in these swaps before so no problems as far as I am concerned. Besides it gives me something to look forward to on the way to town to get the mail.

Ah well, seems I am not the only one waiting , sometimes lack of communication makes the time drag somewhat, I am sure all is well with my partner ,at least I hope so John

It feels even greater to give one to a friend!

Hi Mack, having been the recipient of one of your fine pens I am sure that your partner does not realise just what he is missing out on , I think in due course a more reliable partner will be found for you ,up to the organisers of course ,but My daddy brought me up to believe a man is only as good as his word ,and I abide by that in all things . Seems some do not believe in commitment ,or take it very lightly . All will be good in the end ,even if I have to make you a pen myself hehe. Cheers ~ John
