Default 2011 Australia Day pen swap - Photographs

Thought it might be a good idea to have a thread for the piccies of the works of art we receive.

I'll start with this piccie:

800px-04-BICcristal2008-03-26.jpg

Ok it's not a Sawdust Maker original but you've gotta admit it's a classic.

No probs with comments here either...
like: "Nick you couldn't make one that classical in a quadrillian years"

Photo's out of focus towards the rear... trying to hide something back there?

I am very happy to say I have gotten the swap pen from Ian. It is a streamline in gunmetal. The wood is a nice looking white gum. He did a great job on it and I love it. I love the blanks he sent as well. Those will look great wrapped around a kit.

Yes!! My swap pen from Dudley Young has arrived. It's a Sculpted Arbor pen wrapped in a beautiful Amboyna burl and some great blanks to go with it. I look forward to turning them.
My apologies for the out of focus at the front but I think you'll still be able to work out it's a lovely pen.

I received my parcel from Larry (Idubia) today.

One is a Starry Sunset Acrylic Aero PW, the other a Patchwork Pencil along with same extra leads. Larry has done a great job turning both of them. The parcel also contained 6 pen blanks that I am sure I will put to good use.

I hope the picture quality is ok, I am a better woodturner than photographer.

Brett
