| | Well my AU Day swap Pen finally arrived , 4 interesting blanks accompanied the package, unfortunately no details with the parcel . The pen is a TI + Rhodium Emperer Roller ball in an unknown to me wood, could be coco bolo ? , Unfortunately the trip must have been a bit rough as the laminations had seperated across the centre . Too nice a pen to just leave it so I dismantled ,reglued with epoxy, sanded and did a CA finish, the original finish seemed to be wax. Ah well alls well that ends well cheers John

| | I received my pen from Dorno quite a while back. I hadn't sent my pen yet and I don't get over to the site very often. I have to admit I completely forgot about posting pictures. I received a beautiful fountain pen with a great selection of blanks and an additional pen kit for me to assemble. Hopefully my pen will arrive with him without too much more delay. Life kind of got in the way for both of us but we kept in touch and once my pen is received all will be back in order. |

| | Well I am sorry to say the 2nd pen that I sent to my partner Lazylathe seems to have gone missing in the post .
I sent it on its way over 4 months ago, and he still hasnt recieved it, so its looking doughtful that it will ever arrive.
I have Emailed Lazylathe these photos so he could view them first before I posted them on here.
The pen is a Cooktown Ironwood Desk Pen. the pen itself is a closed end with a offset which was also carved to get the shape I wanted. It also has got a "J" inlayed on it. J is Lazylathes Monogram.
Lazylathe commented that it also looks like the Nike tick, I also had one of my customers who saw the pen before I posted it, say it looked like a Nike pen.
The pen is finished with NC lacquer rubbed back and topped off with canauba wax.
The doner parts are from a Dayacom Sedona ( titanium gold)
I also included another "J" blank that he could make another pen for himself, and a few assorted blanks. IMG_0577.jpgIMG_0578.jpgIMG_0580.jpgIMG_0581.jpg IMG_0583.jpgIMG_0584.jpgIMG_0585.jpg IMG_0586.jpg |

Very disapointing that it didnt arrive, as I put a considerable amount of time into that pen. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
