I have over a hundred blanks in my shop that origionated from Alexander. He has some of the best product out there. If you live in a climate that is dryer than a coastal area such as Calgary, i might suggest Arizona, Let the would dry out for a period of time. I know most know this, but many don't

Well my pen is in the the mail to Don so I hope he has it soon and I hope he likes it. I have included some goodies in the pack which I am sure he will post when they arrive.
I have attached a photo of my stunning work and look forward to hearing his comments.
Just kidding you all I can't put the real pics up and give it away till he see it so I just thought I would have some fun

I was beginning to worry that there was a customs officer that liked turning pens. Glad it made it there.

Got my parcel from Esta today.
Nice rollerball in a box and wrapped up in a tie died silk hankie and some great burl blanks - hard as hell.
Esta also included some extras such as coasters(also wrapped in silk) and some Melbourne souvenirs. The tie dyeing reminds of years gone by.
Will post some pics over the weekend.
Thanks Esta, nice to have had a creative partner.

Pen From Ironwood
Got my pen today from Ironwood {Brad}. Nice pen and well done. It is from a kit I have never seen before. Thick pen and very comfortable to write with. Also found some nice blanks with it. I don't know what the wood is so maybe Brad can tell us.
Thank You Brad!

Mike, I am happy to hear you recieved my pen, I was expecting it would take a bit longer to arrive.
The pen is a Spring Blossom from Timberbits.
The timbers are Cooktown Ironwood, with Silky Oak strips, these were cut to show quarter-cut fiqure, the black bits are styrene. Its finished with CA.
The Silky Oak came out of some boards from a house my Grandfather built in the 1940's, so it has some special meaning for me.
This is the first pen I have done in this style, I like to do a prototype pen for the pen swaps I do, to try something new, just have to hope they go as planned, I was happy with this one, I hope you like it too Mike.

Mine is in the mailbox......finally
I figured if I am allowed to ship 4lbs in a flat rate I may as well use it all. Got my package to 3.8lbs. Not much room for anything else in there. I hope you enjoy Amos.
