2013 Australia Day Pen Swap

The Australia Day Pen Swap is generously supported by the Woodwork Forums and as such is only open to Woodwork Forum members. No matter where in the world you are located you are welcome to join in. All we ask is that you join these forums so you can participate in the fun! Joining is easy.

So, now that’s out the way, the registration for the 2013 Australia Day pen swap is officially open!

Please be sure to register by midnight (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time) on January 25^th, 2013 so I can include you in the draw to receive a swap partner.

Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experts. The more the merrier. By joining you have the chance to make new friends and receive some great pens.

So here’s what you have to do. In this thread only, state your name, country you live in and your swap partner preference.(s) This will be overseas (OS) or domestic (DOM; the country you live in). Feel free to state one or the other. Both if you’d like to receive and make two pens. For example:

Name: Scott.
Country: Australia.
Preference: DOM & OS.
Extra: Yes.

Last year we needed volunteers to do extra swaps. Feel free to nominate now if you’d like to do an extra (if required).

On the 26^th of January I’ll randomly match swap partners and list them in this thread.

After the draw is completed contact your partner(s), make a pen and send it post haste. Blanks can also be exchanged if desired however that’s between your partner and yourself. The swap is open to all styles of pens. Please complete all swaps by 31^st of March, 2013.

When you’ve received your partner’s swap, take a photo and post it to the forum. A thread to place your photos will be set up.

Please, keep in contact with your swap partner regularly. Delays do happen, so communicate if there is one. If something occurs where you cannot complete your swap (stuff happens), PLEASE contact your partner and myself and I’ll arrange another swap partner.

The rules:

You must be a member of the Woodwork Forums to participate.
Registrations to this thread only will be accepted up to midnight on the 25^th of January, 2013 (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time).
If you didn’t complete your swap last year then you cannot participate.
If you nominate for this swap and don’t complete, you will be precluded from future swaps.
Swaps are to be completed by 31^st of March, 2013.
