I received my pen from Simplicity two weeks back and have been a bit slack in posting the pictures. The pen is a Sierra in King Wood and a selection of blanks.
Great work on the pen mate.

Evening All,
Well the house move is almost done. Six weeks of packing, three days of loading and unloading in weather varying from drizzle to moderate downpour. The wood lathe and attached bench took a tumble as I was trying to unload it on my own. I think it survived but the Ozito bench grinder is no longer attached to the bench. Three 4.2 metre pantec loads, 5 ute loads and a box trailer load and it is all at the new home. Already rearranged the shed several times to fit it all in. Still thinking a 3 metre extension and a loft storage platform.
To David, hoping to get your pen started shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Cheers,
Mac

Received my Swap from Sturina last week and have been totally remiss in posting. It’s a beautiful sierra in a banksia nut and some blanks to play with. Now I will try to attach a pic. Wish me luck.
It’s not working.
it defeats me. I’ll try again tomorrow. But it’s a great pen.Michael

Since wedgtail hasn't posted a photo of the pen that I sent him yet, I'll just do it.
The wood is Kingwood. I know there are rotary scrathes, made it a couple a while ago when I didn't put much effort into sanding...
