My swap pen finally arrived!
My pen from Nick (sawdust maker) was delayed for some unknown reason by the CBSP (Canadian Service Border Patrol). It may have appeared to them to be contraband of some sort!
From Nick (sawdust maker), Aussie swap 2013 (Small).jpg
A great looking Ultra Cigar BP turned from figured Tasmanian Myrtle, as well as a nice stack of Aussie woods.
Thanks Nick for being such a great swap partner. It's been much fun. Count me in for next year's swap!It feels really great to sell a pen,
It feels even greater to give one to a friend!

I'm pleased you like it (as I like the one I received)
As I hadn't heard from you I was beginning to worry that it might have gone astray.
Looks like the CBSP might have a pen turner in their ranks who wanted to have a look is there any ink left in it?regards
Nick

my pen from Mike (mmoncur)
This week I received an amazing artist's mechanical pencil from Michael (mmoncur) from the USA. It's a Cocobolo artist's pen, but a different style to the ones that are available in Australia. I love the smooth design without a centre-band, and a rounded tip, and clip.
Thanks Michael !!

My swap with Dalecamino! Chuck sent me his swap pen, it seems like the day the swap was announced, I on the other hand took a little while to make it happen Chuck asked about me posting photos so here they are! I sent him this little get up. Modeled after a Dale Earnhardt Sr. Race suit, consisting of Black Invisivue, which if you have never used it, it is a material made by satan himself in order to trick you into saying things you never even thought of. Oh yeah, segments made from alt. bone from EB, white plastic fondant bucket, and red organizer tray dividers. R is for resourceful. I made this box modeled after a visconti box, I love that design, and wanted to work out something similar to learn a little about the process in hopes of future developing this idea. The box is made from various materials, including paper, ribbon, lots of glue, matt board, rare earth magnets for closing , metal strips, etc etc etc....I asked Chuck for a photo of the Dale Camino, and you may recognize the one he sent me...I sketched it out and illustrated it with ink, pencil, and prismacolor markers. Added a small strip on the outside with an "H" for his last name, mainly bcd CH looked strange out there! Photos up for your viewing pleasure! The last photo in the set is the pen that Chuck Sent me, you may recognize it from the IAP Advanced Beautiful Pen Comp....I also received various wood blanks, and some pretty segmented bamboo blanks!

Aussie Swap Pen From Mick61
Here are some pictures of the great pen and pen case I received from Mick61! It is a Jr Gent with Red Gum and Mick turned the case out of red gum also - A great job on both the pen and the case! Thank you Mick - I have added to my collection! Mick also included some pen blanks - all of which are new to me - My schedule has been really busy the last two months so I have had minimal turning time but I plan to get in the shop this week and see what some of these will look like! Thank you again Mick!

Has anyone heard anything from the Stonepecker father and son? I posted my package in early Feb and have heard nothing. A PM to them says their mailbox is full
