Hi to All,
Received a Invitation from The Golden Oldies Men's Group of Bannockburn, Vic.
to go to The Rupanyup Farming Museum, Northern Vic.
It was a rather long drive, of 300K's to get there, but the 42 Men & 2 Ladies, took it in their Stride.
We picked up 4 from Shelford, & 15 from Rokewood.
From Rokewood to Skipton, to Beaufort, through the outskirts of Ararat, then the outskirts of Stawell, then turned off the Highway, for that last 22K's. to Rupanyup, Pop. around 500.
It was around 28 Deg. with a cool breeze, to The 2 Monsterous ? Sheds that everything was in.
This Museum was set up by Michael & John Wood, at which most of The Collection seemed to be of their Efforts.
It was a real credit to all that helped get this Museum of the ground, as I understand it was a Rupanyup Community Affair, & just opened in May 2010.
A Magnificent Display of Everything you could possibly think of, for The Home & The Farm from the 1930's ? on.
So if you want a Day Out for your Club or Whatever, & you have also to make an appointment, this is for you.
Thanks must go to Noel Brebner ( Coordinator) Peter Evans, for Food & Drink Supplier, Jordan Kelly, Our Excellent Bus Driver, & the 2 Ladies who did most of the Cooking of the BBQ Dinner, & last but not least Andrew Bray for the Invite.
