For insurance purposes I had to assess the new replacement value for what we have picked up over the last 4 days. I guessed ~$10k but was surprised to see that it cam to over $21k It's probably somewhat more because I was conservative in my estimates.

We got more goodies today.
Some 4 drawer filing cabinets
A stationery cupboard
Another outdoor table
A refrigerated water cooler
3 large Inverted "U" tubular signposts about 7ft high which we will make our Mens Shed Sign posts out of.
Another stainless steel trolley.
There is still more stuff there so if you are a mens shed you should get down there.

That sounds like a great haul but remember junk expands to fill the space available.
One of the founders of the Homebush ms worked with me at Civ Eng at USyd and he took over 30 skip loads to the shed. Saved the Uni thousands in tip fees.
The shed is huge, it was a vocational training centre but it has been chocker for the past few years. A lot of members got very discouraged with the constant job of moving the lifeboats.
When ever a space was cleared more junk would arrive to fill it.
Even the 50 metre double width parking area is now solid.
I have a similar problem in my own 3000 square foot shed.

Yep - that's a real problem and it had already led to a couple of members leaving.
The first couple of times we went we took everything we could lay our hands on but after that we generated a priority list and targeted specific items that we reckon we needed.
Apart from a couple rouge ferret members who seem to be able to find the most unexpected things amongst the rubble we have stuck to the list pretty well.
Yesterday the group that went picked up 2 full adult height woodworking benches, some more 4 drawer filing cabinets and bookcases, and a few other bibs and bobs.
That's pretty well it for us even thought there is a lot more there.
