    Default A Great Day Out.

    Hi to you all,
The Geelong Community Men's Shed, visited Kyneton Men's Shed today with Dereel being present also. We are all in Western Vic.
It was a very Informal Day Out, with about 35 Men & one Lady.
We were shown around their Shed, as they quietly got on with whatever they are doing.
Had a rather Small Metal Lathe, maybe 1920's, & would have been a Treadle Job. They plan to restore it when time permits.
They have some rather nice Machinery, & their Shed was approx. 20 x 13M, with plenty of room to move about.
Luckily they also have 2 other Sheds to put their rescued timber & furniture in for the future.
I would on behalf of all who went, Thank John Quinllan ( spelling ) & his Men's Shed Chaps of Kyneton, for this Great Day Out.
    Regards,
    issatree.
    Have Lathe, Wood Travel.

    issatree.

These visits between sheds are great value.
Our shed, did a couple over winter. Only 8 or 9 chaps, each trip. We are a small shed.

I hope you get the opportunity to do more.

    Default We're off again too.

    Hi Paul,
We have been given another invite, & this time to Ballarat, Vic.
Should be another Great Day Out.
Wed. is our normal Day, but we are going up Thur.
We are still waiting for Our Shed to be Built, as they keep shifting the Goal Posts.
It is only approx. 10 years, trying to get a Shed, & even then we have to share it with some Ladies Craft Group.
They have marked it out where it is to go, & are supposed to Start Digging for the Slab this week.
Supposed to be 30M x 10M. but only 20 is ours, with a Veranda.
I believe it when I see it, but that's me.
    Regards,
    issatree.

    10 years and no shed.
Where do your chaps gather at the moment.
I hope you get your new shed soon.
We are in a small (garage) shed loaned to us by the local church.
They have been very good to us.
We are looking to find another shed somewhere, but it is pretty tough going in our small area.
    Paul.
