Malanda Men's Shed
I went to the official opening today.
We don't have a shed yet, it was held in the function room of the Bowls club.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Gotta start somewhere.
Can you use ant temporary facilities in the meantime?
We used a local high school PreVo centre for 2 years before we got a proper shed.

I haven't lived there for a few years now and nothing in town comes to mind, but maybe an old dairy ? They've always got all weather road access, cement floors, and 3 phase power.
When you get yourself sorted give me a shout: get a good log or two and supply some offsiders and lunch and I'll stand you a days milling. Couple of cube of maple or oak to sell might help buy some equipment to play with

up and running
2020 saw Malanda Men's Shed (MMS) move into a vacant church in Malanda. We have a variety of community-focussed projects and activities on the boil, from leatherwork to woodturning and veggie gardens, although we are still mainly focussed on setting it up for our machines and timber stockpiles.
Shed mascot is "Tiny" the chihuahua pup, who wears her MMS leather piggin' breastplate in case of stray mice .
We have a stall at the Malanda Markets. Drop by for a chat there or at our BBQ socials (1st and 3rd Mondays of each month).
Once this big wet finishes, we have our eyes on milling a giant camphor laurel stump and some associated logs felled nearby.
Happy shedding!
