Goodonya Noel
Where have you been lately? Have not seen too
many posts from you on the Forum but perhaps
you have been too busy with Mens Shed activities.
When is your market day? Will be up there shortly
and may be able to have a gander.

The Avoca Shed.
Hi Noel,
I can understand how you will all be feeling, re Your New Shed.
I belong to The Geelong Community Men's Shed, & our Floor has just been poured last Fri.16 / 12 / 2011.
So as you can imagine we are getting a little excited as well.
We are in our 10th. year of waiting, waiting for our peers to say "Yes " you can put it there.
Apparently it will only take 2 Days ( 60 hrs.) to construct, & " Oh No, you can't build it in Colorbond, it just wont do " but that's what it is to be now.
We have been to many Men's Shed's to have a look at theirs & to see, what they have done.
I have to say the most impressive one "To Me" was the Shed at Melton.
They have been funded in every way possible.
I think I'll leave it there.
Good on you Avoca.Regards,
issatree.
Have Lathe, Wood Travel.

Yep the fund fight goes on here too.......but we got a few "paying" jobs in first..which has eased the pain a bit.
All our plans are in with council for the expansion of our existing shed, so when they're approved the money will quickly diminish.
For Allan
Haven't been on here as we are busy over on Reno Forum.
Market Day is the 4th Sunday of the Month, but anytime you're up we can organise a visit.

Missed this previously.
Congrats on getting it up and running. 40 members is pretty darn good for the town. If I was still there it would have been 41
I only get back up there once a month for a lawn mowing job. I'll have to reorganise my schedule so it falls on the market days so I can come visit easily.
Hope it continues to grow and go strong

Good to hear you have the "Cupla" and "Lottsa"
brands in the shed. You seem to be well equipped
to cope with almost anything.
Well done for your progress to date.
