2 workbench ideas - holzworken and Kreg
Saw an email showing the new Kreg auto adjust clamps combined with a workbench.
I'm sure we all have various tablesaw sleds that use clamps, but the auto adjusts seem just the ticket after my exasperation with the stupid little red handled clamps: http://www.kregtool.com/Clamping-Pro...ml?source=1022
This combined with the holzworken workbench ideas really give me a bit of thought juices to combine my plans with the Roubo style bench...... Hobelbank & Maschinentisch: Was diese Bank so alles kann! - YouTube
A nice mix of old world and Ze German Efficiency seems very interesting to me.
Hope you enjoy my videos

regarding the automaxx do you know of an aussie dealer?
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

I got some from amazon, after borrowing Evan's for a short while. I used them on my mortiser table and they work really, really well. See https://www.woodworkforums.com/f154/m...-table-179960/. I also use the same clamps (literally, the same two clamps) in my drill press table. They are really cool.
The clamps are expensive, but the clamp track is the real killer. Watch out!

A while ago I bought a pair of vice grips with the same auto adjusting mechanisim as in the automaxx clamps, the vice grips worked OK for a while but with use the auto adjusting part decided not to auto adjust, I removed the mechanism, nothing worn or damaged, so I cleaned and replaced, worked for a bit again but still a pain, I don't use them at all anymore, something to be aware of with these clamps.
