    Default adjustable bench feet

    Hey guys,
Im going to be building a cheap merch pine base/mdf top bench roughly 2400x900x880 in the next couple of weeks. I am after some adjustable feet for each of the legs to sit on, so that i am able to level and flatten the table to suit my current garage floor and any other floor in the future.

anyone know of anything fairly cheap. galvanised steel, doesn't need to be polished stainless or chrome or anything fancy.

    Thanks

I used 3/4" Zn plated bolts as the feet on my bench.
    Each foot consists of a 100mm x 3/4" and 2 nuts
I drilled a single 75mm deep hole with two different diameters into the bottom of each leg.
The first 25 mm depth of the holes was just wide enough to belt a nut into.
The innermost 50 mm was 20 mm in diameter - i.e. wide enough for the bolt to protrude into.

Here you can see how the foot looks with the second locking nut (which I have never bothered to tighten)
You can add a pad for the bolt head to sit on if you like.

Yep - that was my line of thinking as well.
If you want extra rigidity you can epoxy glue two nuts into each hole.
