    Default Work Bench

Deals Direct are selling this work bench. Has anyone used one? Wondering if it's a good buy.

It looks good to rest tools on.

It will rack horribly if you tried to hold wood to handplane.

The bench vice is near useless as it lacks any depth.

You could bolt it to a wall. That would help significantly. It is cheap - I doubt you could build what is there for the price. But you get what you pay for ...

It will cost you quite a bit more but building your own gives you a huge amount of satisfaction.

I built the bench out of the Triton project book and in the process learnt so much....must finish off that 2nd vice on it

I would guess it is pretty light duty for that price so might be good for the kids of just light work.

Looks like traffic to me, if you are doing this forum you have all you need to build something way better than that for zip, don't need to spend a dollar.
