I am so sorry for your loss. Friends are the family you choose, and it hurts so terribly badly when they go off on The Great Adventure and leave us here. At least we have our timber, tools, and forumites. Despite all my questions no one can assure me these will be featured in the next stage.
Still, we can face it with fortitude, and I hope humour. I still plan to have Spike Milligan's famous last words on my headstone, "Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite" ("I told you I was ill")

Hi again everyone. I apologise for being away for so long, but although plenty of things have happened in my life since I last posted anything worthwhile, I unfortunately have nothing positive to relate regarding my work bench build to you all. On the slightly brighter side, I am now working on getting back into my shed again and begin working through the crap that has accumulated since I last was here among my woody friends.
Soon I will try and post a pic of how rundown my former reasonably tidy shed looks today, but I am now on the turn around and am looking forward to making sawdust again. I would like to thank a good friend and fellow forum member who has kept in contact during all this time. Thanks Michael for all your concern and encouragement.

Great to see you back Bob. Every time I go through Goulbourn I wonder how you are going.
Don't get too cold out in the shed, Goulbourn has a reputation for being a tad cold this time of year.

Hi again everyone. Well I have been making some progress out in the shed again and I'll try to post a pic or two soon.
Unfortunately my progress has been set back once again. You will recall my best mate's passing 18 months ago which greatly affected everyone who called him friend and family. We've now had to deal with the death of his elder brother from a brain tumor which we thought was successfully removed before his brother was taken from us by bowel cancer. His funeral was held yesterday.
