Default I cut my legs off

    Snowyskiesau old bench.

Snowyskiesau/Geoff is moving to Tassie and in packing up he past on his beaut sturdy bench. Many thanks Geoff

I made the necessary modifications, cut the legs off dropping it 8" but then fitted a good quality set of wheels with 2 lockable these I got from Richmond's
This raised it back up 5" to the height I required of 840mm. A bit of a clean up and move around an its positioned where I now have more natural light.

Best advantage is no longer will I be turning using the Jet and getting cold legs from steel bench.

Now to try and fit a vice.

    Looking good

If I'd thought to do that, I might have ended up keeping it.

Is the old metal lathe bench coming of the garage? I can;t see how you could possibly fit another bench in there

Geoff the moment I started putting it back together I thought Geoff could have bolted and packe d the lathe and mill inside lots of bubble wrap, turned the top over and moved it that way and with the new style floor locks at Richmond's or engineers jacks ..........you get the picture.

Glad you didn't think of it............my gain

Oh the old TAFE teachers school desk I altered and put on wheels, or do you mean the old Metal Lathe bench NZ_carver was going to give me?
Ok my old one will either be cut down or turfed. As for the one NZ was going to give me right now it wouldn't fit even with a shoe horn. I am back to move this to get there move it back to do that..

    @ Pat

@ CH same way you would no me bum ....yeh ok I use draftsmans stool on good wheels oh got the stool off snowyskiesau some time back when he bought a truck load of office chairs for $50 got 2 one is at OTGA. photo taken when Nova was still out there

Thought it must have been something like that or one of those baby bouncer seats you hang from the rafters with a bigger spring
