Default Festool styled portable workbench - good video

    Hello.

I'm looking to build a form of Festool's MFT as an assembly workbench, and to make use of the Festool/Walko surface clamping system for routing, sanding etc.

During my look around YouTube, I came across this video of a portable workbench that looks to be ideal for contractors or those who go to work at client's sites. This is skewed towards the Festool system, but could be used for anything.

His website, with some more info and plans, is benchworks

The link to the guys website is worth a look too. He has more festool tools and boxes than any festool dealer I've seen. I like the mft styled boxes he's designed, they look very handy.

    Thanks Nathan

I made a Festool style assembly bench a couple of years ago - basically lots of holes in a 25mm MDF top and apron on a steel office utility table frame. Works very well. (Search on my URL for a photo...)

Quick grip clamps are much cheaper and, in my opinion, worl better than the Festool screw clamps.

Thanks Graeme. I don't see a URL in your post though. I'm interested in having a look.

    Thanks,
    Nathan.

There's only one thing for it - You'll just have to go out and buy a heap of festool product!
