My concern with the H&F ones is that they are not urethane so if really loaded up longterm could develop flat spots.

The castors I used are urethane, rated at 50kg each, and cost $19 for a set of 4 from AUS ebay.
The Rockler castors are ~$80 each.
The steel for the wheel holders and cams was made from offcuts from the frame, offcuts I already had, or purchased from a steel merchant for $1 a kg.
Time spent in making the wheel holders and cam operated mechanisms was about 10 hours so I'm working for $30.
This is much better than my usual DIY rate of $5 an hour.

Thank you Bob, I wasn't aware of that issue with certain caster types!

I hope I'm not missing something you're saying here (a gut feeling tells me I am!). I didn't think these would suffer from a flat spot? These are only engaged when moving the bench, so normally, neither the bench - nor any weight - rests on the casters in normal circumstances, they just rest on the ground with only their own weight.

The wheels only bear the weight of the bench when the lever is engaged, and thus, only for the duration of the movement.

I bought a set of the H&F ones to test on my temporary workbench (around 100Kg) - I was concerned with stability too, and thought this was a neat solution as you can engage the level to move the bench, when it's in position, you release the lever and the bench sits on its legs on the floor.
