Default Another noob starts a workbench.

I have decided to tackle this one on my own (first of 2 benches I plan to build). I figured I should start a new thread so I can ask for help and post progress pics. I was going to wait till the shed was approved/built before I started but tis killing me! So today I went to the local mill and purchased the timber to start on the base.

The bench I am building is this one from fine woodworking: http://www.finewoodworking.com/woodw...om&member=true

This is a pic of the base:

So the first question I have is, does anyone have a jointer on the northside of brisbane who can spare me some time to run the stock through once I cut it to size? I have a thicknesser but no jointer. I am planning to buy one, but just holding out till I get the shed (although this may change!). Alternatively I guess i could stop being lazy and handplane it!

Scratch that, decided I am going to use a hand plane to clean it up!!

Second questions is, how can I round of the feet and cut the bottom section out given my lack of machinery at this point? I think I should be able to do the round off by cutting the edges down on the table saw and then maybe planing or sanding. Thoughts?

    Thanks.

    What Christos said.
Of course the feet dont have to be rounded, so any way you like to suit taste and the tools you have.
