I recently (well, about a while ago) decided I needed a proper bench, so, after reading Schwartz's book, I decided to make a Roubo to fit my shop (small space = small bench). I had these old timbers lurking, and so here is the result. After using this bench for about a year now, I contend it is the most important tool in the shop. I love it and can commend this style of bench to any woodworker contemplating a one.

The top is white cypress floorboards (not recommended) faced with rimu boards. The top is a disposable ply. Fun to make!
