Vice recomendations
Looking for some recommendations for a vice for my newly constructed bench. I will be doing some hand cut dovetails, planing etc, I like the look of some of the Veritas twin screw vices but they're a little out of my price range. I'm looking (hoping) to spend up to $150 - $175.
I'm not looking to build a vice at the moment, just want to purchase something and fit it so I can get working.
Thanks in advance
Darren.

You can make your own by buying hardware like this

Also search the Mcjing site for similar hardware.
Search this site for Moxom vice builds - lots of good advice and homemade vices.

I bought the smaller vice from them - excellent value for money.

Looks cheap enough and sturdy enough. Moxoms are great for holding panels for cutting dovetails etc. Just make sure you make the distance between the threads large enough for the largest panels you reckon you will be holding in the Moxom.

I am in the process of building a new bench and have one of timbercon's large Q/R face vice for the long side and a slightly older Q/R 9 1/4" bench vice see how they go.Hopefully well mounted and good faces and I am sure they will be very serviceable.

Yeah I think it will work well, I'm going to incorporate it into the bench like David Barron has https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7ZNU7atoxc
