So you'll be needing the 'hot' camshaft too then...
10 second bench anyone?"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Sounds like that car show on tv, they had a V8 blender the other day. Groggy, I think your bench should be put straight into a museum or art gallery once you get it finished, twill be truwely armazingg.

Nahh, once it's in its proper position I'm sure it will be a Goldilocks bench. Juuuust right!
This monument to woodworking solidity should be good for quite a while Groggy. If the top's 250kg, planing it down to half its thickness over time to fix up the odd ding and gouge will still leave you with a bench of over 400kg. So what do you think, a century? Two? That should do...

Had a bit of fun last night. Put the heater on and spent a few quiet hours making the patches and gluing them in. Tonight I will plane them down and maybe domino some nail holes.

Got all six patches planed down and flat with the base. Tomorrow I'll get the domino out; it took longer than I expected to plane the patches down.

Someday in the future your kids will say "hey, Groggy finished his bench!".
You can say "I was there when he started...",
Their response will be "no-one is that old!"
