    Groggy
I have followed this build after accidentally running across it a year and a half ago. It took awhile to catch up to your current posts, but the reading was enjoyable.

Congratulations on the final result and I appreciate the documentation and insight that you shared.

A bench and WIP of epic proportions. Well done Groggy. Your efforts have been an inspiration to many would be bench builders, myself included.

Don't be too modest, I'm sure a lot of professional woodworkers would be proud to have produced your bench.

Thanks for sharing the journey Groggy, and I hope you got as much out of it as your audience did.

Okay, okay there's nothing here to see now, so please close this thread.

A great job Greg, one to be immensely proud of . Now if your son doesn't show any interest when the time is nigh, please remember me, yeah.

Beetle Shirt and Acer nailed it. Just fabulous! In particular I like all the different ways of holding something. More pics as you use it in different ways Greg, because those of us who have never used such a thing will learn why this kind of bench is the go.

If the predecessor went 30 years then....

You dont wnat to use it in anger as you may damage it.

Time to give it a beating with chains and a scorch with a blowtorch to give it some patina
