    Default Rose engine lathe plans

John Magill has posted his plans for a rose engine on the
    www.ornamentalturners.org site.
Its made up from MDF but looks very good. The complete overview, build instructions and detailed prints are available as a free pdf download.
In the build instructions there are references for cutting frame manufacturers.

I have just purchased the mdf and will start on the metal parts shortly.
    Thanks Ed Shelton

    Thanks for the link!

The problem with seeing these is that I compare 'em to what I've already accomplished and want to strip it down and make a few "tweaks." I mean, it's easier to make such mods now rather than after I've finished building it, right?

The fact that it's taken me one or five years to get it this far and making these mods will probably set me back another one or two shouldn't count, should it?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Jon's plans are excellent. I modified my version of Geoff O'Loughlin's lathe plans to incorporate some of Jon's ideas.

    Default more plans

dunno if this link has been posted yet but Jacks plans look pretty interesting.

Slightly different construction methods to the other plans and uses a router trimmer as the cutter...looks like a lower cost system and by the pics of work seems to work pretty well.

I downloaded Jacks plans on the 27th and he sent a personal e-mail to me the next day asking for feedback and offering help if needed. A stand up guy.
