There was a bloke on the metal forum from Sydney who could use this if he hasn’t gone and bought one.

Hi gazza, no problem. The drill press can be dismantled and shipped to Sydney but I'm unsure of costs. It would need to be put on a pallet to ensure there is no damage or loss of parts and given weight. However there is the logistical issue of loading it onto a truck. It's all a bit tricky! Alternatively, I'm happy to hold it, subject to deposit, until you're able to travel and assuming you are happy to drive to Newcastle and collect.

I noticed something like that years ago but I forget exactly what it was now.
I'm pretty sure it was that the messages wont show up in your sent file until the person you sent them to opens the message.
You did the most important part and eventually said " Ill take it "

Could we have a review opinion of your 2 Drill Presses? i.e. why did you upgrade?
Hello Woollybutt
You mentioned you upgraded to a Nova Drill Press from the Carbatec model you're now selling. The Nova is roughly three times the price of the Carbatec and I'd be interested to know your opinion of both. Obviously, I doubt the Carbatec will be a fair comparison to your new machine, but I'd like to know what you think. How does each perform in it's own right and as a comparison how much better is the Nova? Was the upgrade worth it?
Rob Cosman has in the past mentioned, that he's not impressed with new brands and has categorically stated to get a vintage model instead (providing no exceptions to this belief). Having said that, Rob Cosman is not someone whose opinion I trust, but in this matter, I don't see a possible agenda to sell something else. Rob's opinion was based around the stability of the quill to remain accurate (i.e. laterally still). How in particular do you find this with both models? Is this vastly improved with the Nova?
I know this is a sale, but I've wondered about both models for some time and it would be great to know your opinion - especially because you did actually upgrade to the Nova.

Hi dschumy
I have only just set up the Nova and not actually used it at this point. I primarily upgraded to have the easy option to change speeds as with the belt driven machine it was too much of a hassle and I never bothered.
I will post a review thread in time once I have familiarised myself with the menu options.
Regards
