    Default Disston Saws x4

There are 4 saws that I've collected over the years but have just been stored and never used. They come unsharpened and as is.

$100 per saw. Open to offers as I'm not entirely certain of the price.

Saw #1 - Disston D8 rip saw - 710mm long with 3tpi. Made in Pillidelphia.
The elderly gentleman I purchased this saw from explained that the saw plate was straightened and look very straight to me. Lovely patten on the plate.

Saw #2 - Disston D8 cross cut saw - 705mm long with 4tpi. Made in Pillidelphia.

The handle does have a horizontal crack visible on the left hand side.

Saw #3 - Disston D115 cross cut saw - 660mm long with 8tpi. Made in Pillidelphia.

Another really interesting pattern on the saw plate.

Saw #4 - Disston D8 panel saw - 505mm long with 10tpi. Made in Canada.

    Another pattern on the plate.

That is a good collection of saws. The first three saws are all pre-1928 ( I think) with good depth to the saw plate. The second saw is another rip saw. While the thumbhole style of handle is occasionally seen on a crosscut saw, it is unusual. The teeth towards the heel are worn down giving them more of a crosscut tooth appearance.

I would like to offer $50 for the #3 saw (D115). This is just my valuation for an "as is" saw so I quite understand if you wish to wait for more offers. I would be able to pick up Saturday 5 March.

    Regards

Thanks for the info on the saws Paul and you can have the #3 saw.

Offers are open for any of the other saws everyone, I'm really happy to pass them on and make some space.
