    Default HNT Gordon 1/8" Dado Plane

    For sale is a truly beautiful dado plane, made to the usual enjoyably high standards of HNT Gordon in Gidgee. It has a skewed blade set at 60 degrees, with adjustable depth stop and nicker.

    This was only briefly set up to test; it's in essentially new condition. The blade is as it came from the factory.

    Asking $400 inc delivery Australia wide.

    I realise this has only been up for less than a day, but I'm going to bid against myself here in the hope I can get it in the post today or tomorrow!

    Guys this is an excellent well made tool and if you can afford it, it's money well spent. Gidgee is a tough wood and a lot tougher than beech, so it will hold up a lot longer than beech. I love the addition of brass which never needs flattening and nor will it wear out unlike box wood. You also have an adjustable depth stop which you will never find on a tradition dado plane. This plane is better than any antique, vintage or any modern day one on the market. If you're into box making you will never look back. If I could afford it I would snap this up in a heart beat and that's no bullsh*t.
