Default JET JWL-1014 Mini Lathe and stand

For sale is a fantastic - and now unobtainable - JET JWL-1014 Mini Lathe, with bed extension and stand. This is arguably the best mini lathe ever made. I purchased it new 10 years ago, and it is in fantastic condition ... minor wear marks, and essentially as it was when it came to live in my workshop ...

Here a picture with the stand I built when it was brand new ...

The stand is extremely solid and featured in this build: http://www.inthewoodshop.com/ShopMad...MiniLathe.html

    The 1014 features a 1/2 h.p TEFC motor, 6 speeds (speeds are 500 – 840 – 1240 – 1800 – 2630 and 3975 rpm), which are adjusted on a six position stepped pulley.

As set up here, it has a 10”-diameter bowl and 40” spindle capacity.

The headstock and tailstock use a #2 Morse taper so they will accept many standard accessories.

I have been using the lathe for spindle work for tables and chairs, where it has coped with our hard WA timbers, and tool handles. It is just a wonderful compact lathe. While I have not gotten into turning pens, it would be ideal for this as well.

Here are some current photos. You can see it has minimal wear ...

Those familiar with the lathe might notice that the tool rest is different. There are 2 rests that come with this lathe - the original, and the one in this photo - which is longer ... made for me by Chris Vesper.

Here are the custom and original tool rests ...

Here is the original tool rest plus a face plate ...

Last bump with price drop to $295. At the end of the weekend I shall dismantle the stand as I need the space in my workshop (new lathe coming in).

    PM me if interested.
