Makita 5104 10 5/8" Circular Saw
Bought this around 6 years ago when I was processing timber I had milled on the Lucas. Again, stopped doing that and I reckon it's done less than a handful of hours work. Currently they are $899 to buy around the traps and are a serious piece of kit. Yes I know Makita have a new one which is about half the price and lighter but that is exactly what it is, much lighter in weight, engineering/durability and therefore price. That's why Makita still have the 5104 in their range. This one has the Makita dust outlet adapter to connect to dust extraction. So for only $100 dollars more than the flimsy new ones you can have a very near new serious job. That's right $550

This is the unit in question, camera battery blew up hence the delay. It has the dust extraction outlet but is missing the guide fence. I don't like them!
So $450 is half replacement cost. Any takers?Perhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.
