Router Boss, DW625E router, and a lot of router bits - Burleigh Waters, Gold Coast
Hi All.
Next up before our move to Japan is my Router Boss multi-purpose routing jig. This one is the 470, which is the largest size.
The jig set-up includes the router table option,

and the mortise table kit (this is ideal for cutting mortises and tenons).

Included is the DeWalt 625E router, which is the recommended router for the jig.

The plastic container contains all the additional bits and pieces for the various functions of the jig, including the angled dovetail guides.

I never used it for cutting dovetails, but I believe they're quite simple with the jig once you get the hang of it.
Also included is a whole pile of quality router bits. The straight bits are the left or right spiral bits, so they leave a very clean finish. There are also dovetail bits of various sizes .

This is pick-up only from Burleigh Waters.
It has to go, so $150 for the lot and I'll be happy. (If you do a search on the forum for the Router Boss you'll see some prices that will make your eyes water).
Cheers

Please note that at this price, I won't be packaging it up. It will have to be picked up as is from my home address in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast.
Cheers

Oh, it is definitely sold!! It just happens that I'll be on the Gold Coast between the 15th and 19th. Might even be able to rustle up a bonus for you

How has it stood up to 12 years of good use? Any play in the movements?

Bugger!! Heading up to Currumbin Waters tomorrow, been packing the car so I didn't see it earlier. Having said that, Rev was pretty quick on this one.

So, not sure what happens in a circumstance like this? Rev did say "I'll take it" first, however I was unsure the listing price was correct and wanted to check first. I actually already have a router boss and don't need two of them (although the extra parts would be handy). However I would really like that box of bits. How about we come to an agreement - Rev takes the router boss, router, and accessories and I have the box of bits? If that's agreeable to you Des, and you Rev, perhaps Des can come up with a revised price for each package.
Thanks

The rule is very straightforward; Rev is the buyer at the posted price for the whole shebang. If you want to buy some of the parts you need to negotiate directly with Rev; after he has taken ownership.
Once someone has posted “I’ll take it” it’s like having a contract to buy, neither party is supposed to make any changes. It’s more of a gentleman’s agreement than a legally binding contract.Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

I see. I didn't say I'll take it because I didn't want Des to feel obligated to sell it at that price in case there was an error in his listing so thought I'd ask for clarification first. All the best Rev.

Yes, Rev and I have corresponded by PM, and the sale has been made. Sorry if there may have been some misunderstanding, but the "I'll take it" was Rev's.
Cheers

Hi mannetje,
I was a Woodrat owner some years ago and have regretted parting with it and all accessories. By reputation the Boss is what the 'Rat really should have been. I'm looking forward to using it without some of the underdeveloped features of the 'Rat that led to frustrations. I'm not sure I will be parting with any of the package at this stage, but pm me with what interests you and I'll consider it down the track some time.
