Why does nice stuff like this come up for sale when I am at the end of my woodworking life? For any prospective buyer, EMCO are some of the best gear you can buy. I have two different model EMCO metal turning lathes and they are superb machines.
    Good buy for someone.

Don't rule out shipping interstate. I bought a second hand 3 phase 5hp dust extractor from near Brisbane and shipped it to 1 hour south of Sydney. I used an internet site for "backload" shipping. You enter details of goods to be shipped - dimensions, approx weight etc and truckies submit bids/quotes to backload. I received half a dozen bids/quotes. The longer I left it, the lower the quotes. The one I selected had submitted an earlier quote but nearer to the date he was leaving Brisbane, he submitted a second lower quote which I accepted. It all went very smoothly with phone communication between me/truckie and vendor and the machine arrived on time and in perfect condition, delivered to my workshop and the truckie helped me unload it.

I bought the machine at a good price and even with the shipping cost I still feel I ended up with a great deal.

So long story short, if the item is a reasonable price and you can get a resonable price for a backload, then the total deal works.

Nice little machine - I would have loved this as it's just the right size for a small home DIY workshop. I bought a Jeffwood the other day - haven't used it yet but it's damn heavy I had to use an engine crane to pick it up off the floor.
